Our Ingredients
Pies
All pies feature handmade pastry That light Rough puff top and suet Bottom is then filled with minced beef sourced from the freshest prime cuts. No filler meats or offal are used, ever. A modest amount of gravy is added to each pie before the pie’s are sent to the oven for cooking in the traditional manner.
Mash
We select only the highest quality potatoes and peel and cook them on site at Early Doors
Liquor
Our pie & mash just would not be complete without a generous serving of liquor to round things out leaving you to slap on your vinegar and pepper
Eels
Eels have been a part of the British table for more than 200 years. They’re true ‘local’ cuisine in every sense of the word. The eels you’ll get direct from Billingsgate delivered fresh to our shops weekly

Everything that you’d hope it would be. Crispy pie with tasty filling, a hearty portion of mash, and lashings of liquor to drown the whole lot. Vinegar (both regular and chilli) on each table. Service with a smile, and everything tasting lovely and fresh. If you’re even slightly on the fence about whether to visit, I implore you to.

Simple place, simple food. Beef pie was Ok, not filled with beef chunks for whoever is curious 👀, plenty of mash, gravy and liquor. Vegetarian pies available. Small restaurant with some proper British working class vibes.

So we have had pie and mash before but we thought we would try somewhere different and this place is really great . Pies we're more filled , eels tasted much much better here , service was alot better too . Really nice guy that worked there . We will definitely be back . Thank you

My partner & I had pie & mash he had gravey, I had the liquor, it was lovely had a couple of coffees to. The lady that served us was polite & friendly. Small place though might be a bit of a squeeze when really busy
